Meet Jodi Jodi's love for vintage and creativity began in her childhood, surrounded by her mother’s tea room, Buttertubs and Bears, in Blenheim during the early '90s. The tea room was more than just a cozy spot for tea; it was also an antique emporium filled with unique finds from auctions, yard sales, and small antique shops. Her mother also created beautiful hand-painted folk art and handmade dolls and toys, instilling in Jodi a deep appreciation for the quirky and the charming. This upbringing sparked Jodi’s passion for vintage, the unusual, and arts and crafts. Before opening Weekenders Vintage, Jodi ran 13&1, a boutique specializing in Canadian-made paint and refinished furniture, deepening her expertise and creative vision. Now, at Weekenders Vintage, Jodi continues to celebrate community and creativity. The shop hosts monthly craft nights that bring people together in a warm, cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a quilting bee, where everyone can relax, create, and connect. With her wealth of experience and unwavering enthusiasm, Jodi is the driving force behind Weekenders Vintage, ensuring that every customer’s experience is both memorable and inspiring.
